NILS HENRIK ASHEIM:

Collaboration between composer Nils Henrik Asheim and NyNorsk Brass Quintett where we have the pleasure of presenting two newly written works: "Hornflowers" and "Singing Stones"  The album also includes three other works for brass that Asheim has written previously.

MÉGALITHES

GÉRARD GRISEY

Grisey's early work "Mégalithes" (1969) for 15 brass players, is intended to commemorate the innocent victims who died in the Nigerian Civil War. It was performed for the first time in Norway in 2018 by the NyNorsk Brass Quintet and additional musicians. Conducted by Halldis Rønning.
