NyNorsk Messingkvintett and Fakta Morgana have the pleasure of inviting you to SOL, a warm dark time story with a star team of performers.
Sol is nine years old, and lives with his mother at his grandfather's in Rjukan. Mother works as a hostess in the summer, but in the winter she only lies under the duvet, the adults call it bipolar.
Sol and grandpa have their own little universe, with a model of the Krossobanen where grandpa worked before, and each a walkie-talkie so they can always have contact.
But what happens when grandpa ends up in a nursing home, what if the health service discovers that mother can not take care of Sol?
Maybe the new neighbors Løpe and Hinke can help?
In the roles:
SOL - Silje Aker Johnsen, soprano
Morfar - Frank Havrøy, baritone
Løpe and Hinke- Jørgen Arnesen and Guro Bjørnstad Kraft, trumpet
Moren - Ingebjørg Bruket, trombone
Helsevesenet - Marie Solum Gran, horn and Berger Iver Færder, tuba
SOL is developed by the performing arts group Fakta Morgana, with playwright / video Ingebjørg Torgersen, composer Bjørn Bolstad Skjelbred and director Marius Kolbenstvedt.
The performance is produced by the NyNorsk Brass Quintet, in collaboration with Sentralen UNG. It is supported by the Cultural Council, Spenn, Dramatikkens hus, the Bergesen Foundation, the Fund for Sound and Vision and the Composers' Association.
